Lizz Winstead, co-creator of the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, brought her razor-sharp wit
and hilarious spin on current events to downtown Houston on September 21 to benefit the
Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast Action Fund (PPGCAF) and our work to educate voters on
the importance of supporting candidates who support full access to reproductive health
care. Lizz developed the tour, “Planned Parenthood, I’m Here for You!” inspired by her
long-standing support of Planned Parenthood’s work and has toured the country performing
for Planned Parenthood supporters. Approximately 125 PPGCAF supporters attended the
show and book signing. Lizz brought the house down with her side-splitting characterization
of Texas Governor and former presidential candidate Rick Perry and ended the show with a
profound and inspiring reading from her book, Lizz Free or Die, which detailed her own
Planned Parenthood story.

crucial election year and Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast Action Fund is on the front lines
educating voters and supporting pro-choice/pro-family planning candidates.
